The partnership model

We do not compete with insurers. We carry them.

Under NAICOM's Partner Insurtech framework, risk always sits with a licensed underwriter. Triax provides the rails: origination, pricing orchestration, policy issuance, premium collection, regulatory reporting and claims coordination, so each insurer reaches customers it could never serve alone.

01 · Distribute

Embedded everywhere

Insurance appears at the point of need: in vehicle licensing portals, ride-hailing apps, bank onboarding, fuel-station networks and marketplace checkouts. Compulsory covers become default, not afterthought.

02 · Orchestrate

One quote, whole market

A single request fans out to every eligible carrier. Customers compare like-for-like terms; insurers compete on price and service, not on who happened to have an agent nearby.

03 · Assure

Trust by design

Every policy is written to the NIID-aligned registry, verifiable by police, lenders and regulators in seconds. Claims follow a published service standard, with escalation to NAICOM's complaints bureau built in.

Lines of business

Cover for the risks Nigerians actually carry.

Each line is underwritten by the partner insurers authorised for it. Compulsory classes are flagged so distribution partners can make them default at checkout.

Policy verification

Is this policy real?

Fake motor certificates remain one of the industry's most common frauds. Every policy issued through the Triax rail carries a registry reference that can be checked by police, lenders, employers and regulators.

This page demonstrates the verification flow. For any policy in Nigeria you can also use NAICOM's own motor insurance checker at mycar.naicom.gov.ng/verify.

Claims journey

Five steps, published timelines.

Tap through what happens after a loss. Service standards are what Triax commits to coordinate with the underwriting insurer; statutory timelines under NIIRA 2025 still apply.

Market intelligence

The post-recapitalisation industry, in numbers.

NIIRA 2025 reset the minimum capital floor and shrank the register to carriers that can pay. The result is a smaller, stronger market and a cleaner counterparty set for distribution partners.

Questions

What people ask before they sign.

Does Triax underwrite risk itself?

No. As a Partner Insurtech, Triax distributes and administers policies on behalf of NAICOM-licensed insurers. The insurer named on your certificate carries the risk and pays the claim. A separate subsidiary, Triax Insurtech Limited, is pursuing a standalone motor insurance licence.

Which insurer will my policy be with?

You choose. Every quote shows the carrier, its NAICOM licence number, excess and expected settlement time. Distribution partners can also set a default carrier or let the rail pick the best-ranked offer.

How is premium collected and remitted?

Premium is collected into a ring-fenced collection wallet and remitted to the underwriting insurer under the "no premium, no cover" rule. Partners receive commission statements and reconciliation files automatically.

Can state governments and MDAs use the rail?

Yes. Triax already supports motor vehicle administration in Delta State and has proposals with several other states. The rail plugs into licensing and revenue systems so compulsory covers are confirmed at the point of registration or renewal.

What happens if a claim is disputed?

Triax coordinates between you and the insurer and tracks every claim against the published timeline. Unresolved disputes can be escalated to NAICOM's Complaints Bureau; we prepare the file for you.
